    Edit...
    Tired eyes missread the times...
Hey, My tires were screaming for mercy the whole way round the course... I decided to have fun and do some drifting instead of being competitive...
I cant believe I still got faster almost every run!
I'll have some better tires next year.... Be afraid... Be very afraid...

I had a blast, as I'm sure everyone did.

They gave it to us on a printed piece of paper and shown as a 2-day event. I arranged everyone in order of fastest to slowest.

    I'm a rookie!

That's the excuse I'm using. If you read the list standing on your head and don't look at the times, I did pretty good. Nevertheless, it was a blast. Just wait till next year!

The "drive slow to drive fast" advice made perfect sense, especially when we were watching people who knew what they were doing while it was our turn to work a corner - but it was so much fun playing "Dukes of Hazzard" during that first set of 6 runs.

And cones - they tremble when I get in the car!

    I learned a lot!

Bill, You're scaring me .... seriously.

Just an observance guys, but if you notice ... everyone's fastest run came towards the end. That just shows everyone was getting faster as they learn the course .. and THEIR car! I bet if everyone went back to that course location a year from now .. you'd be that much faster because of previous experience.

Poeple like Perry, Bill, David, and Jason .. ended up shaving 5 to 10 seconds from their times!!! That is a ALOT - now just think how much faster you'll be with those 'years of experience under the belt'.

Either ... you had fun, right? In the end, that's the name of the game.

Oh yeah....it was a blast...I'm thinking of looking into the local SCCA clubs around here to see if this is something I would like to take up as a new hobby.

It's pretty obvious the track got a LOT FASTER after lunch.

    Fun, Fun, Fun!!

I had a blast even though I didn`t go full honk. Next year will be a different story. It`s pretty funny that my Hoosier`s ( 245`s all the way around ), came in the same day we got back from the reunion..

I am hoping I make the fast 4 next year with more seat time and more aggresive driving, but for not driving a car ever at any type of autocross or roadrace event, I think I did OK. I do have to say sorry to Ted Schaffer and Rich Martin as my car was a little cone hungry on the second stint The first problem was not having my feet correct and I hit the gas instead of the brake pedal on the figure 8 part.. And getting too greedy on the other run.

For those who didn`t run. Try it, you WILL LOVE IT!

If Don Bishop shows up with race tires next year, he'll definitely be a hard person to deal with. he dipped into the 30sec zone on GATORBACKS in his low mileage - totally stock - 85 1/2. Smooth as budder.
