    Hi Folks,

This is Jim and Greg from SR Racing. For your info, the dyno is a SF-840 Inertia and Eddy Current 1000HP/200MPH chassis dyno.

For your dyno day, we will be logging RPM, HP, Torque, and A/F ratios with a wide band sensor in Inerta mode. You will receive graphed printouts of your runs and jpgs of your runs can also be emailed. (Depending upon how you guys divide up the day and alloted time, other tests can be done.)

The control panel is also projected on the wall onto a 6 foot screen so everyone can see the runs real time.

We will dyno the car in any gear and RPM range you select.

We will have snacks and sodas here for you also.

If you have any questions re: the dyno or operations feel free to call.

If there is room I would like to run. Iíve rebuilt my motor over the last several years. Everything is new except the block. Itís now a 2.5l. I would like to see where Iím at. I wanted to do this last year, but didnít make it. Iíve never dynoíed before hopefully you all can show me the ropes.

    Henson,

Not a problem. The car is strapped down, warmed up and accelerated slowly to 4th gear (or closest to your 1:1), then at about 40mph full throttle is applied. We take it to any RPM point you desire and all data is logged. (RPM/HP/TORQUE/A:F Ratio).
Output is in the form of graphs and spreadsheet. From this you can see how well the a/f is tuned and determine best shift points, etc.

    Only SVOs?

Not going to have time to get the 2R's rear end sorted out before the 05 event, so going to drive down in the SRT. Can that run on the dyno for yucks? Or will I get peppered with rotten tomatoes?

Tell ya what we'll do --
Since we still have a cople of open slots, I guess I'll let ya dyno when everyone else is done.

That is --- if you check your email, and answer my other question...

Don't even ask to auto-x with us tho ....

    I can't do it...

Guys, I just can't do it. I'm too much of a Ford guy to do that to myself, let alone you nice folks. I will bring the SRT, but it'll be lurking in the Hooters parking lot, rather than soiling the parking lot of the Best Western

Tho, it would be fun to see what it does out of the box at the dyno!

    Mike, red would be fine.

Eric, I just responded to your email. Count us in for a set of brown tops as a door prize.

We're going to post a schedule -- the dyno runs will have to start around 8 am -- so we will probably have to move some people around once the schedule is posted --

anyone wanting a morning slot -- please post!

You know what...I didn't autox last year since the 2Rs rear end was tender then (that just didn't sound right) so this will be the second year I missed it. Oh c'mon Eric..let me run the Dodge, pleasssse? I'll rip off the ram badges and put on a couple of NOS blue ovals from my stash and call it the new Fusion.
