  • Motorsport B springs

I installed a set of these last week, and must say I am VERY HAPPY. I should have done this upgrade a long time ago.

The B springs lower the car quite a bit in the back, maybe 1/2 inch up front. the car sits much more level.

Ride quality is great. These springs are only slightly stiffer than stock. for a street driven SVO, they are perfect.
Handling is also improved from the drop in height, and slightly stiffer spring. The rear of the car is much more controllable

here are pics before and after --

Eric, I like how the front end site.. I installed the "C" springs & mine is lower in the front.. I'm rethinking about going to the "B's" now..

Nice looking wheels.. What kind are they??

I never seen really good pictures of your car Eric. That's a very nice car.

Here's my old car with stock springs and "B" springs. The car wasn't slammed, but boy, what a difference an inch or so makes. To me, getting the rear down is what helps the most.

My SVO handled way better than my Cobra (stock) does.

Very nice, Eric! Love those wheels on it !

I've never understood why Ford used such tall springs on the back of the 86's. Set an 86 next to an 84 and the 86's rear is up one full inch higher.

Looks good...my 86 has 4X4itis especially in the rear. I was thinking about getting a set of adjustable lower control arms, so I could keep the comp prep springs.

On a side note, I posted on this thread yesterday..or so I thought...did anyone else lose any posts...I did notice that the board was down for a while the past day. Or are my posts not up the the standards of the mods? Just curious.

thanks guys -- the paint on the car stinks, but the important stuff is all there (with the exception of a drivers side spat)

There will probably be a strip & repaint coming in 09-ish

My springs came from Gyrhead. ordered them Friday, had them Tuesday.
cant say enough good stuff about them (the springs & Gyrhead)

I found "Ford Racing springs" on Jeg's site. Are these the same as the "motorsport B" spings? (first item listed) Thanks.

Yes. But wouldn't you rather buy from an SVO vender? Such as Gyrhead, Forced4, Motion Dyn, etc.
