As I am going through the repairs figured a good ideal to document with pictures.

Before and after on the interior. Two notes on this job: 1. Can't believe how dirty the carpets and seats were. The suction water that came out of the carpet cleaner was a black gunk. 2. The guy that fixed the drivers seat with new foam, material, and piping did a fantastic job.

Looks like Mr. Jingles and his family were living in your heater box.

      Time for the Engine...

Moving on to the engine now. Plans are to finish it this year and hit the suspension/brakes/gears in the winter. My other black car is getting jealous since the SVO gets all the attention...

          Well...

I was always a Ford man from my 1973 Country Squire wagon (High School car) to my first new car the 1986 GT. However, I fell out of love because my friends Z28 would always spank the GT and the many problems with the Ford trucks I owned so I headed to the dark side. When my Dad could no longer care for the SVO, I put it under my wing to bring it back to life. I forgot how much fun it was to drive - much different then the vette. The vette is a big car compared to the SVO and doesn't seem to be as fun - not as agile. Still a great car (the power is crazy) but not the same. Anyway, now I have two different fun cars for however I feel that day.

Keeping short block as is since only 61K miles on it. Head is being ported with Boport 1.5 cam.

Your interior looks sweet to say the least. Like the coice of stock color for the block. Are you having Bo Port do the porting?

A local guy (NDM Machine) is doing the head work. He does all the 2.3L stuff for the short track out here. In fact, he must of had a least 50 2.3's there awaiting work. Has a nice flow bench and even builds his own adjustable cam, crank, and aux shaft pulleys.

                            Engine Porn!!!!

Made some progress in the garage today - more tomorrow. Valve cover gasket is from Felpro (rubber). I hope it doesn't leak.
