I need the hot side machined. they don't want the whole turbo, just the hot side. What is the best way to separate the hot side? do i just need to use an open end wrench? what size is it?

I can't get them to loosen a little bit. when i put an open end wrench on it doesn't hold and just slips and rounds the bolt a littleOriginally posted by MikeFlemingLoosen all of them a turn or so. Get the CHRA to rotate in the turbine housing. Take out the bolts that do not have any interference. Rotate the CHRA to where the ones that have interference don't. Remove those. Lather, rinse, repeat.

got all the bolts loose. how to i rotate the CHRA? I can't get it to turn at all. what is the best way to pry it out also. Iam pissed that i didn't use heat on the elbow side. Jut tried pb blaster and then snapped all the bolts out. Heat on the turbo side and they all loosened.
PS where do i get new bolts? Torque spec for them?Last edited by JP_McCann; 07-27-2010, 09:59 AM.

i don't see just the bolts on their websites. Where can i buy copper anti-seize? Charlie also said to use a little ultra copper silicon on the elbow side. If i shouldn't use 12.9 why would charlie say to? what anti-seize should be used on the turbo studs and the manifold bolts?

think i ordered it got 5 bolts and the clamp set. they guy i talked to thought that they were the hi temp bolts. I guess this will get back together next week. Would any store sell the anti seize or will it also need to be ordered off the internet?
hey mike would you reccomend against putting it together with 12.9 for time being and replacing it when the new stuff comes in?Last edited by JP_McCann; 07-28-2010, 05:20 PM.
