Does anyone else here run their SVO with a straight pipe (no cat) and a single to dual muffler (mine is a Flowmaster)? My car is noticably loud in a sense that it is only a four banger but i was wondering if anyone here runs a Borla? I heard those sound really nice, if anyone has a sound file or anything i would love to hear it. Are there any HP gains from actually using a muffler in a turboed car's case, i mean wouldn't you want no restriction at all?Or do you need back pressure on an SVO too? I like a loud exhaust system but.... i also don't want to sound like one of those damn rice rockets, like pissed off bees in a tin can or like a two stroke engine running or nitrous. Basically, i love my SVO and i love the whole concept of a Mustang and Mustangs are supposed to be loud, american made muscle and even though we only have 4 cylinders to work with, im trying to make mine sound realllllly nice, aggressive even. Suggestions?

    thanx.

I've got a full 3 inch from dowpipe to tail. No cat and a MAC flowpath (not the best design, but I like the sound). Borla does, indeed, make a nice system..... if you want to spend the money. You are correct that less restriction is better; a straight through muffler is the best choice for the turbo system. I had a Flowmaster on prior to the MAC and it was obnoxious in my opinion.
