SW bound & down (Mid-Atlantic convoy)

Here we go fellas....it's been a couple years, but my schedule has worked out that I'm goin this year.

Looks to be bout a 8 1/2hr trip from here.....looks like a couple good places to meet-up will be:

1) Intersection I-70/I-81
2) Intersection I-68/I-70

Since there is safety in numbers I'm expecting the following at least to travel down together.....

JTurbo - I know you're going
SVO4PWR2 - Get that Copper turd put back together and DRIVE IT
Ottoman - Pop some more pills to kill the pain and drive
Ninjaboy - heard you were thinking of a one-day run.....you don't really wanna miss the weekend do ya?
Mutant - You coming this year???
Joe P & son - What can I say...your son's car has more seat time in that family then yours
Eric M - need a wiring expert in the trip....
Eric's SVO - looks to be flying & driving
Mad Adder - I know you've prob got some stashed parts you probably need to get rid of

phdntc - take a couple days off at the shop and come on down

Well, if I hadn't worked out to drive one of Dave's cars I'd come along as a co-pilot. I'm flying to his place and driving one of his cars in. Next year I hope we'll have a car to drive!

NJ contingent, party

OK, not sure this is the right place to do it but here it is. First, I plan to make the reunion, looking forward to AutoX. Second, for all SVO owners in the vicinity of my place (Ninja, Vicking, Rich, etc etc) this weekend is our big party in Hackettstown. It's 250 persons plus, live bands, lots of food and tons of stuff for kids (two jump houses, snow cone machine, kickball), if anyone can make it call or email, jcash@megtec.com, or cell 908-797-4069. All you bring is side salad or desert, or a few bucks. Starts 3:00 pm, ends after midnight. August 8th. weather looks good.

I have a 06 Silverado that I was going to use to tow the SVO to the meet (re-union). Since I just got the car, still want to make sure how it drives. Also good like posted to have a car that runs on a trailer so that if something does go, you can tow it.


If anyone has a trailer that is not using, great, otherwise, I found that U-Haul has the auto transporter for $50 a day. Not bad insurance for a bad clutch, etc.


Anyway, anyone interested in a NJ get together?

Hope to meet a lot of fun and interesting people and learning as much as possible!!!

Hello Don,
one more idea that we "special group" were talking about was to have a chase truck "without trailer" If someone did have a break down we could go to the nearest U-haul or what ever to get a rental trailer.

Okay...let's start to firm up some plans....

Here's where we'll meet-up....Hagerstown, MD right off I-81 South...just before the intersection of I-81/I-70. From here we'll head I-70W.

This should be an easy location to find, here is the address for your GPS:

Recommend we shoot for a 11:30AM meet-up. This will put us into SVO Central around 8PM depending on stops and what-nots.
