This is Wayne's 4E. It was previously known as "The Horse Trailer SVO" from years ago. He has restored it very nicely for all it's been through.

I don't know the story behind it and all its been through, let me guess.. It was stored in a horse trailer? I assume it was outside for many years considering what has been done to it and UV/heat delamination.

That is weird, there was no reserve and one bid for opening price of $12,500... but one to two hours after the sale the seller relists it? In order for that to make sense the winning bidder would have had to contact the seller immediately and withdraw, but normally that usually takes days or weeks.

Yep, I really was interested in it when found. My ex talked me out of it. I no longer have that problem.

Yes it was packed into a horse trailer with about an inch on either side to spare. I don't remember the exact back story but I think it was found abandoned on some farm in maybe Texas?

It had large gold stripes down the sides with SVO on the doors maybe? When Wayne was moving between houses the car was put on a car hauler on the back bottom level. The driver dropped down the upper ramp and crushed the hatch, spoilers and tops of both quarter panels. It was repaired and then repainted.

He has put quite a lot into it so even at $12,500 he is probably losing money. I wish I could afford it and would buy it in a heartbeat. Wayne is a stand up guy and long time SVO guy. I'm friends with him on FaceBook.

If I recall, there was a wide gold stripe along the entire rocker, lower trim area with SVO stenciled out on both sides.

It's been relisted twice for $10K, no takers.

sold for 12.5K (that was the winning bidder...not sure if the deal was done tho)...

If anyone is not in the business of flipping SVOs then the prices they sell for DO NOT MATTER!
We, "US" know what these cars are and why they are special.

I just dropped 17.5K on my 9L 85.5 and maybe I overpaid or maybe it was a good deal....I dont know bc the jury is still out and I am prob dumping another 3K into it to make it 100% right. That was because that is what I WANTED and I looked for quite some time to find one. I am also on the verge of dropping about 10K into my 86 1D for paint and refinishing the wheels and the ridiculous amount of body work I did to it in the last few months (myself)...

My point is, I am going to keep these cars till I die so it dont matter what the market calls for (as ignorant as I think the market is)
