Thanx Eric, I have no idea where that run came from. Despite Ty's 'race car parts' comments, I have to say my tires are aged out and ready for replacement as they were made in 2006!! Guess moving from the Eibach rear bar to the GT one helped, though...

I guess my 8 year old, heat cycled 140 UTOG's must have just had enough life left in them, eh?? Ty was running the same 'race' tires as me, but a few years newer and softer, I believe. Now to figure out if I go with one of the new crop of 200 UTOG's or just flip the switch to a DOT 80 UTOG model?? I always seem to 'age-out' my tires before wearing them out, so why not shoot for something that will hopefully wear out before aging out...oh, the drama!

I don't want to hear tire excuses...I was running Nankang's! which were suprisingly impressive for a cheap tire

I guess my excuse for only pulling a 1.304 sec margin over you was that my tires were somewhat worn out...I would have to believe that the RE-01R's should have pulled a much larger margin over your Nankang's... Now that Ty guy, he was running RE-01R's along with brake ducts and polished wheels...I could only 'speculate' on what dagum excuse he may have...

LOL...I'm thinking the watts link and other suspension changes you made had more to do with your margin....I think tires were not even a considerably factor on that sealed surface...lol. I have no special go fast(suspension wise) or handling parts in the suspension on the teal car

Yeah, yeah. Got the end of the 4th run and hit the power button on my camera and realized I had turned it 'on' and not 'off'. Seems like I end up doing that on one run per session...oh well.

Agreed, but it's never been about the numbers. it's about getting together and having a good time. We had quite a few more that didn't stay for the auto-cross...
Course you were also invited you know

We also had quite a few people who couldn't bring their cars for various reasons(in body shop, mechanical issues, etc) but came out and had a good time. From day one we have never cared if duct tape was holding the car together...if you can make it, come have a good time. Time of year often plays a factor and next year we are changing that a bit...and this time we are way out in front with plans finalized and those who can make it next year will never forget it...more driving seat time than ever before and at the nicest road course in north america

The turn out is totally understandable and as long as everyone had a good time - that's what counts. I just remember the old days North vs South (BTW - Congrats Ted! way to rep team north), 2 different heats, etc....

2015 is definitely on my radar screen. Unfortunately Sept/Oct doesn't really work for me personally any longer.....
