  • Maybe my age is showing?

I am moving my household to another city so I am loading all of the SVO related items from the garage to the SVO. Everything neat and clean in tidy boxes and it is time to close up the car, down the garage door and head into the house for the night. I looked up at the edge of the open liftgate and instinctively pressed one of the rubber plugs on the liftgate lid, thinking that that was the liftgate close switch.

OK, it only took me just one or two seconds to discover why the lid was not closing.

    'Nuff said.

    LOL!! Been there, done that!
Out of habit, I also find myself occasionally reaching for the "Start" button in my SVO or '63 F100.

Heh, we don't have any of those new-fangled cars, so not too much confusion, other than the usual oldstimer's disease!!

As it turns out, the SVO is still in Phoenix in storage. I recently removed it and discovered that mice had eaten holes in my overflow bottle, some spark plug wires and another drain tube. Where may I obtain a replacement overflow bottle for an 86?

Me neither but maybe that's why my shoulder needs to be rebuilt. Ugh!

Used is probably your only option these days. You may have to source a 87-93 2.3 bottle. Same shape just a E7 part number.

No, no, no. That's just the 'old' part of oldstimers!! :-) I just had mine done in January. Getting to here sucked, but I'm in SO much a better place now. I'm able to do a LOT more work out in the shop. Trouble is, though, the more I do, the more my other shoulder hurts. Grrrrrr!
