    Hey all,

I have recently gotten a 1986 Grey SVO from an uncle that bought it new. It currently doesn't run, he replaced the fuel pump and injectors and that didn't work. He also replaced the computer, that didn't work either. The car was running good before the fuel pump went out. Since then he has changed a few other things but doesn't remember what so I am going in blind. Glad to be on the forum!

    Hey -- Welcome !
When you turn the key on, do you hear the fuel pump run for ~5 secs ?

Give us some more info on the car: How many miles? All original? Did you pull the codes? Do you have spark at the spark plug? Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? If so, how much? Did you replace the fuel filter?

Fuel pump is priming, the car has 115,240 miles, all original. It does have spark and I have not checked fuel pressure yet, will this weekend. Did replace the filter.

Are you getting spark at the spark plug or at the coil. If you are getting spark at the plugs, then to get the engine to start, you need air, fuel and timing. When you are checking the fuel pressure, pull the codes as well.

What is the condition of all the regular tune-up items?

At the plugs, I will pull codes when I check pressure. Uncle said he replaced the tune up parts but I'm going to replace them anyhow since it has been a while.

Have you checked the ignition switch? They are prone to separating and can cause lots of strange problems.

Ok guys sorry it has been so long but life kicked me in the butt. So the SVO has 35-40 psi of fuel pressure and good spark at the plugs but still won't start and it has no codes?

You need 4 things to start a motor: air, fuel, spark, and timing.

If you have spark at the plugs and it is timed correctly, then fuel has to be the issue.

Are you trying to start it with the intercooler removed?

How long has it been since it ran? Old fuel in the car? Injectors could be completely gummed up and won't spray fuel. Try starting fluid in the TB and see if it will pop.

It has been a couple years but I cleaned the tank out and replaced the injectors recently.
