I have had the need to clean two different dashboard bezels recently and have had tremendous success with using a product called "Tuff Stuff". It is avail from Autozone and is a spray can that when applied it foams up.
Depending how dirty or how bad the flocking is will depend on how much you will need to repeat the process.
If the bezels are off the car, you can spray wait rinse and repeat as necessary.
One of the bezels I had was so bad from dirt, sun fading, mold etc...basically as bad as could be and it came out so good you could use it and you would not notice anything too bad. I did use a very soft bristle brush and gingerly worked the foam in and wow!
On my 85.5 I had significant white mold and I got it back to near perfect.
