Need water pump pulley

    Need water pump pulley

    I am needing to know what the part number or description of the water pump pulley on the SVO. I took the car to a mechanic for a head gasket and he went out of business before he got the car back together. I retrieved the car from the shop while the owner of the property emptied out the various cars, trucks and motorcycle pieces. I found everything SVO except for the water pump pulley and without that, the car is still not reassembled (and still in Phoenix).

    Any ideas if this is a generic pulley and where I might find a replacement?

      Thanks, they don't have one and didn't know if anything else from another vehicle would be the same. I'll keep looking.

      They did have a 1970 Mustang Power Steering drag link but wanted $750.00 for it. Wow!

        I converted my car to the serpentine belt set up, so I have my old setup that is available. What is your water pump pilot shaft diameter so I can confirm it will work for you.

          I called the Ford dealer today and was told that my pulley was a 3-groove (PS & AC) and part number E3ZZ8509B. If you have this pulley it would be great!

          There were 2-groove and 3-groove, that is all.

            Mine is a 3 groove type, but you really have to measure the water pump pilot snout to insure it will work with your car. They made 2 different ones.

              The car is in Phoenix and I am in Tucson so it may be a while before I can measure it. What would you want for it including shipping?

                  The pilot diameter on the one I have is 3/4" diameter. The other versions have a 5/8" diameter pilot holes.
