I've poked around and I only see reads available on Rock Auto. Does anyone know of a good part number? I don't believe my car has ever had them since I've owned it.

Do you have the steel pistons on your front brake calipers?
Orginally they are equipped with "phenolic" pistons which are a plastic / bakelite type material that is better for dissipating heat but when they get old they expand and cause problems in many cases so many SVOs have steel caliper pistons nowFrank

I believe those clips are designed to use Hawk pads in the stock caliper. I have steel I believe. They're reman calipers.
I think I'm going to be stuck using a wound spring around the retainer bolt to provide tension on the pad backer at this point. I can't find the right wire style clips anywhere.

Those are the rear clips. The front clips are a bit smaller wire diameter and have a smooth bend to them. I lost one of mine many moons ago and have been running with a single one. Can't say I have ever noticed any difference between the sides. FWIW, I am running SS piston calipers and Stillen Metal Matrix pads.Originally posted by scenario View PostTed

I thought the anti-rattle devices for the front brakes on the SVO are incorporated in the pads themselves. The spring steel "spider" that fits inside the piston on one side and spring clip that holds the outside pad to the caliper. Maybe I'm wrong?Mike S
