  • Stainless Brake Lines

I'm gonna tackle a new master cylinder BEFORE it craps out and am considereing stainless brakelines instead of the factory rubber ones. I continue to notice Motion Dynamics still says "Temporarily Unavailabe" but I notice there is a set by Holley, Earls Performance Plumbing part 28B070ERL.
Anyone know anytrhing about these lines? Is there that much difference? Of course I also wonder about keeping my SVO stock.
    What do you all think?
    Thanks

I believe they are the same thing. If I remember correctly Paul sells the Earl's ones.

Oh yeah, if you haven't gotten the M/C yet... Try Trak auto (if they're still around there) I used to goto the one in Columbia on Rt 176(?) I got one for my Mk VII (same) for like $20 and everybody else was ALOT more! If I remember correctly the ford part # was still in the casting....

            Thanks Guys
Eric, that Trak Auto is lonnng gone! It's a high-end appliance store now. I gotta get a NOS M/S, and found a guy with one for 100 bucks. Anyone with a better price I'll take in a heartbeat.

Kinda makes sense considering the area now... Not many of the Lexus/Benz/etc crowd around there are into fixing their own ride...
They are definetly in to high end appliances there... I feel old remembering when 176 (or Dorsey rd as it used to be called) USED to go all the way from Glen Burnie to Columbia w/out having to hop on rt 100. I used to ride my bike all around those back roads! Is Trak still around at all?

Nope, Trak Auto as a company went belly up years ago! Many of the store locations (at least here in CA) were acquired by Kragen.

Well I won that auction for $76 shipped. Thanks to Paul, I was a day away from going 100 and NAvySVO pipes in! Hopefully it isn't a 20 year old MS. Thanks NavySVO for the heads-up. You saved me 25 bucks. I owe you a beer or two in Richmond KY.
Now back to the lines. I left an email with Paul, but not response. Do I go with the RockAuto lines (they look nice) or Earl's? Anyone know if Motion Dynamics has em in stock. I haven't called anyone yet.
I wanna do lines and water tubes at the same time so feel free to chime in gang.
                      This Site Rocks!
BTW on the way home from work today my 95 Explorer blew its Idler Pulley right off the engine on I 95 here in Maryland (Iwas on my way to the dealer to figure out the howling noise from under the hood). Pealed off at next exit, pulled into a Shell Station, and was on my way in 45 minutes. New Idler Puley, Tensioner and Belt (we found the Idler Bolt on the streerin rack...whewww). Now that is what I called good old fashioned American Gas Station Service. Owned by a Pakistani, work done by a Taiwanese.
