That is a valid question, could really be either. This car was up on Ebay 2x in 2019 when it was still out in Colorado and listed with 47K miles, but I think it just didn't get any good bids on it. It looked pretty weathered back in Colorado, but looks like it was detailed and cleaned up a bit at the PA dealer now. It also had the stock tailpipe in CO, along with the driver's side outer lens. Otherwise it seems to be a pretty solid car from what little we can see.

One thing that kind of stood out to me is the fact that the ODO reading, including number offsets, looked identical in the CO listing as in the PA listing...that would raise a bit of a red flag with the original CO seller, as if the cable was pulled. There is no way you could have moved/transported the car without the trip reading moving at all. Here are the pics that show what I am talking about:

I have no idea, but looks like someone put a real 'home made' type of 3" tailpipe on there and who knows how far forward it goes. It does look a bit jenky to say the least. Here are some before/after pics of that too:

there's a half pound of bondo in the front of that hood from the looks of it. (or there's some really odd reflections going on there)

I tried resetting the trip odometer on a 95 thunderbird once while the car was moving and niether it or the odometer ever moved again. Maybe that's why all the numbers are the same. This would raise some serious questions about the mileage.

I know my trip ODO is flaky at best, but I can't believe that the regular ODO wouldn't have ANY shift in the numbers. It could certainly be the mileage that the ODO just stopped working for sure, but unless you go and see we will likely never know.

Based on the original Ebay listing pics, you can see areas that certainly appear to have been repainted and blended, but aged to the point where they exposed themselves on both the front and rear of the car. The dealer in the AT listing certainly did some detail 'magic' on the paint, along with taking pictures in an overcast sky, as compared to the Ebay pics. Now my own 86 had some accident damage and repairs in its first 4 years/56,000 miles with all but ~3 body panels being repainted, so this 84 may have lived a similar life in its early years.
