2024 Reunion Details...

We have been working on plans for the 2024 SVOCA Reunion and this year we are jumping back up to Carlisle, PA and in with the Carlisle Ford Nationals! The event is May 31-June 2, 2024. Registration is open and can be found here:

Show field registration is $70.00, but there is a 20% discount available till January 2nd, so please hurry to grab that $14.00 savings!! The SVOCA is one of the listed clubs in the Registration, so please remember to select us to help ensure we all get placed together. All SVO's are being put into a single class, right now it is showing us in class 225.

We have also secured 15 rooms at the Best Western Carlisle South, 101 Alexander Spring Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015. This hotel is newly renovated, has a nice size parking lot and is only 3.5 miles from the show grounds. Here are the details on room reservations:

In addition, Carlisle productions is looking for nice, "exceptional" SVOs for the Anniversary tent. They can be nice original, restored, interesting history (race, order, extra rare, etc), they have a separate application for this purpose.

Forgot to mention this in my first post, but one of the main reasons we picked this show for our club's Reunion location is that one of the Carlisle Ford Nationals "Celebrations" is that they are recognizing "40 Years of the SVO" in one of their show field tents. Getting into that display tent is what Eric's application link above is for. You can find that listing on the main event details page, scroll down to the "2024 Carlisle Ford Nationals Celebrations Announced" section and click the "Show More" text to expand it out. Maybe a few of us could get picked to be displayed under that tent...wouldn't that be cool!

I'm registered! Guess that means I gotta get stuff done...! Mainly I need to get the SN95 arms on it and put the "B" springs on. It currently has Eibachs on it and sits way too low in front for my liking. I combed the forum and the "B" springs seemed to be the set of choice. Get the tags and drive it to get anything addressed to be sure its reliable for the trip. I put a used set of the Eibachs on my 92 LX and it sits too low too....

Finally got my room booked and just put in my reservation for the tow rig from my local Enterprise Truck rental! Now to organize the garage and get working on getting my repo spats prepped/painted/installed, since they started falling off at the Wisconsin show last fall...knew it was coming at some point...

So, in a chain of BS unfortunate events this past month with my office closing, finding another gig, and said contract gig I had with Hopkins cancelling on Monday. Myself and Crystal have decided not to come due to the constraints. (second year in a row now something has come up...) Sure I have plenty of time to work on it, but the funds for tires/registration/insurance just aren't there. already dipping into savings for bills. I called Sherry today and canceled my res, dunno if I can cancel the registration...

NOW, while on phone with with her there is someone from Marietta, SC who reserved 3 ROOMS wth 4 people in each, no other info. Dunno if our res got shared to non club or not. or someone playing games... (she has had that with other groups) If anyone knows someone in that locale message me! I did a FB search and found someone within that name parameter. NO mutual groups, may have 1st gen.

I've decided to thrash and get the SVO ready. I'll be up for Saturday and spend the night instead of 4 days. Anyone got an extra bed/sofa before I reserve a room for the night before she releases them? I start a new gig next week sometime, and have been picking up some temp work here and there in pain management, Making plenty of progress each day since I'm off, LOL. Dropped the tires and 97 Cobra wheels off yesterday to get mounted and balanced. Hope they will be ready today. And a buzz around the neighborhood maybe Friday for a maiden voyage.
