It doesn't need a turbo. It actually has more HP than some of the single engine planes that are at that airstrip. You should see the engine mounting support tubes flex when he goes WOT. It would give you religion in a hurry.

Pat, I have it on good, reliable sources you didn't exactly relish that flight.
I guess you prefer being able to pull to the side of the road when engine trouble crops up.
BTW, what was it that Bill H was looking for for the T-Top car ? He wasn't sure which AC parts were having distress, however I surmised it was the spring-loks.

Yes Paul, I was a little bit nervous for the first minute or two. I would have passed on the ride if it were anyone else. The professional manner of prep and military checklist style was very reassuring.
Here's a pic of the Jabiru engine on the Ultralight. Note the craftsmanship and quality of the machine work.
Australian built aircraft engine, 4 cyl air cooled, 85hp, dual plugs in each cyl, dual ignition, dual fuel pumps, Bing carb and K&N filter. runs on 100LL av gas.Last edited by Pat_in_L.A.; 10-07-2005, 10:46 AM.
