driving from Cheyenne to Richmond. thinking of driving the 1C there, and then changing out in Ohio for the Comp Prep.
but my wife is not liking the Mustang trip, so I will most likely take the Dodge Ram, either way, it's a long haul!

I'll hopefully be going down Friday also... May have a support vehicle though, with two kids, and all the stuff you have to pack with them!

We'll be heading down Friday. We'll probably leave Franklin around noon. You guys up north, or over in Chicago could easily leave, and hit this area around then. We could meet at Cracker Barrel in Shelbyville wight of I-74.
I'm sure Richard, and the other local hoosiers would be up for that.
Then we'lll pick up Henson off of I-75 somewhere.
This should put us in Lexington around 5pm or so.

I'll be towing too. My wife will not sit in my car for that long of a trip with out AC and the sound of Rear End noise. All the sounds radiating in the car about drive her nuts. Of course I love it, for both reasons. You can hear every piece of equipment working as you drive.

I can meet you on 70 somewhere then meet the others on the way. Though 2 hours is not that far to drive separately. So if I don't get to the location in time, no biggy. Look for a White Lightning with a White SVO in the trailer. Just in case there are two of these combos. I'll be the one with the Wife in the passenger seat yelling at the driver to "Slow the F Down!" Road Trips, you got to love them.

speaking of support vehicles, i will hopefully have the truck by then, so when i find out a definate that i am coming, then i can be a parts hauler (within reason)

OK... After a couple phone conversations...

We're meeting at Cracker Barrel at the Shelbyville exit off of I-74 between 1-2 Friday. Anyone coming down from further north, (Wizard?) please time your drive accordingly.
I have Richard Schonegg, Rick Singer, Steve Gomez, Andy Gilpin (maybe) and Me so far. Jim Boles? You hooking up with us?
Please pm me and let me know if you definately will be hooking up with us. Cell phone numbers would be great, and anyonw with a portable CB radio please being it. I've got one, and it makes communicating much easier.
Looks like it's gonna be a great trip!

I was going to go down 39 as I didn't want to go through Chi town! Too hard on the SVO! Where are you in Chicago? What time were you heading out?

I'm on the far north side in Waukegan (near great america). I'll probably be taking off between 7:30 and 8 on friday. If you are taking 39 are you just going to cut across through Champaign on 74?

Yes Wizard that was the plan. I have taken this route before and it was sooo much smoother than going through the city.( Longer but more comfortable for the car and traffic) If I go on Friday would you like to meet somewhere on the way? Do you have any other smoother ways to go south rather than around 39? Let me know, Bruce
