  • Where is everybody?

As I post this, there are only 26 days left until the registration deadline, 41 days left until the 2007 reunion and 11 people registered. What's going on?

Of all the car shows and other events you go to, the reunion should be at the top of the list. Cool cars, great people, lots of fun; I could go on and on. Those of you who have been to a reunion know what I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't attended one yet, trust me, it will be something you will never forget.

IIRC the SVOCA could get some much deserved coverage from a Mustang magazine this year. I for one am tired of hearing remarks like: "It's just a four banger", or "That would be real cool if it had a V-8 in it, and "What's an SVO?" There have been numerous posts about the value of our cars not rising as they should considering their limited numbers. Coverage like this can only help, but not if only a handful of people bother to show up .

Your car doesn't have to be "show quality" I've been at every reunion since 1999 and have never heard anyone say, "That SVO sure looked crappy"

If you don't want to autocross, that's OK, but if you think you would like to try, but feel you're not good enough and someone might embarass you, don't worry. Ask me how I know.

The board members work hard keeping this club and website together and getting everything together to have the reunion every year and I personally don't think ya'll should keep them hanging until the last minute to get your registration in, so come on guys, show your support for our cars and our club and send your registrations in.

    See ya at the reunion!

    Beater SVO's rule.

We are fully capable of embarrassing ourselves on an individual basis. Don't leave that job to amateurs.

Now Perry do me a favor, could you? Consider it a "Mission from God" (quote from Blues Brothers) or maybe SVO Geezuz. Take the short trip over to see Mark, Bill and Elaine. Make sure they all still have a pulse and start talking up the notion of their attending this year's event. It's been a while since they attended and we miss them.

There are guys who were in Cobras at Barber who are still wondering what that car was that passed them.

I'm just a procrastinator....I have the registration sitting on my desk. Step 2 is tracking down the check book and filling out the $$$ for the Auto-X

We are here and we are coming, don't fret! I just mailed in my registration today, signed it back on 8/7 so don't mind the 20 day delay.

I'm a new guy to the club..

I bought my 2R about 1 year to date. Been working somethings out with it. Shes not show quality, but I like her just fine. I have sent in my membership App. and dues waiting for my Member Number, then I will fill out the form to attend. I live just south of Louisville, KY so Lexington is a definate for me. Looking forward to meeting some SVO folks, don't see any around here. Hoping to see some cool rides and get some great ideas or tips on keeping it running. See ya at the show, with or without the Member Number.

                  Thank for reading,

                          I'm working on it...

                          It's about a 50 / 50 chance right now.

If I make it I'll be bringing the Pace Car.

I will admit that I was a little nervous bringing my svo last year to the reunion.. My car is deffinatly not a show car,(2x4 under the drivers seat, needing paint really bad, esc........) but I got a great welcome by all.. It is not just about showing off you car, it is about all the great people in this club!!
