  • Gasket swap at reunion?

every time I pull the valve cover I need to take off the upper inline intake
Every gasket set I get I end up with an extra "square intake" gasket
any one have the opposite setup and have a bunch of inline gaskets they want to trade for my "square" ones

You don't need a gasket between the upper and lower intakes! Just wipe a bead of RTV on the surface. Good to Go. There is no water. No Problem. I have been doing this for many years. Be sure to stay a 1/4" away from the runners or just very thin coat there. This makes it so there is no squartage in the runners.

Good to go. You worry too much! lol.

You're involved with production cars too much. You should see the construction of the race cars I see!

btw, swapping out the throttle body studs with the bolts from later 2.3s will let you pop the cover off without pulling the intake off; just the TB. makes life a whole lot easier.
