  • Not bringing theSVO to the Reunion.......

Well it was made official last night that I will NOT be loading the SVO up to bring it down to the reunion this year.. Took car for very short ride & it just quite running.. Towed it back to the garage & started tearing it apart.. I found a broken dizzy gear & aux shaft..

This is the second time this has happened.. I don't have another one to replace it with or the time to get it done..

See you all at the dyno on friday!!

and my local Mustang Club doesn't understand what I'm talking about when I tell them stories of fixing one anothers' SVO in a parking lot at 1:00 am or taking your car off a trailor so that another Club member can get his car back home... VIVA la SVOCA !

the longer that I'm in the SVOCA, the more it is evident that its about the people. The car just is the catalyst.

Thanks guys!! The SVO is loaded up on the trailer.. Along with most all the correct tools that I think that we'll need..

I should change the title to "Bringing a broken SVO to fix at the Reunion"!!

Thanks to all.. We shall see you on Friday morning at the dyno!!!!!

I have no idea what you mean by that!!

One has to admit, that everybody in the SVOCA always seems willing to help out a fellow SVO owner!!

Of course, I'm not coming down until Sat. morning, but I've packed all the tools for the job, being as how I just swapped mine out. Getting those stupid phillips screws out of the cam retainer while in the car is the hardest part... I recommend replacing them with bolts for WHEN you need to do it again. I can get the sizes for you when I get home. Hope your bearings are good. Mine got chewed up along the edges by the gear pieces.
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!
