Woohoo....well just had to be a little meaner about things I guess. Popped that ball joint out without a hassle...guess I was worried the fork was going to mess up the ball joint.

Next question, as I remove the ball joint boot, is there any advantage in putting some grease on the exposed (top) side of the ball joint, before I put the new boot on?

      Thanks again.

YES, you should put quite a bit of grease in there. the grease isn't for lubrication, it's there to keep water out.

Thanks guys....lithium huh? Well...got any ideas for the 3.5# of bacon grease I had kept then?

I did notice on the passenger side one that there was some surface rust on the ball portion...so apparently the boots were torn for some time.

One down...swapped out passenger side last night. i did call SVPU about the fact that the bushing looked SO much different from the oem...but it fit on well and looks great.

I got this part of our project and documented it for others to see what I did.

              Hope this helps someone.
