i've noticed my car feels kind of sloshy, so I decided to try and change the strut adjustment and see if it made a difference. I turned the adjustment all the way clockwise, and I couldn't tell a dam bit of difference. do they have a noticeable difference in feel when adjusted that far? or are my shocks fried or anything else??

Do a search here. There is actually a procedure for adjusting those...I think you are supposed to loosen them all the way, and then reverse the turns to tighten to the specified ride you are looking for...there are three to four different settings there...

that procedure will help you get both shocks even --
You should be able to tell the difference between full soft, and full hard --
Is there any oil leaking around your struts??
that is usually a good sign that they are toastEric C

yeah, but what i'm saying is, I turned them as far to firm as possible as I could. unless for some reason at completely clockwise they suddenly change to a different setting.Originally posted by richsvo

Re: Turn it ...
hey man, I don't have a adjustment knob, I was using a crescent wrench and was told by another member that clockwise was the firmer setting. And there is no way i'd sell them to you even if they were bad, they'd be on there way to koni for a rebuild.Originally posted by Pat_in_L.A.
COUNTER CLOCKWISE ! ! ! to make it firmer.
The adjusting knob has a counter clockwise arrow with the word "FIRMER" next to it.
(I just should have offered to buy your old junk shocks, LOL!)

Actually I had to go dig through stuff and take a look at the knob myself before I posted my response. I just happened to remember something about it going the opposite direction of what a reasonable thinker would expect. Please don't tell the next guy who wants to give away his dead Konis!
