Brakes getting tight

I have put new brake pads on the svo and found a bad brake line.
I fixed it and tried to bleed the brakes, Note tried. After driving the car a few miles the front brakes get tight and will not release, Do I still have air in the lines or is there another problem that I have found, Brakes are not failing and do not drop, petal is firm.
Both front do this and move in and out with any problem.
Looking for information. Looked in search with little found.

The phoenolic pistons are kown to lock up with a lot of heat, or after sitting awhile...I replaced the inner seals in the calipers and made sure they moved very freely, and have not had the problem since...

Oh yeah? Where would that be? I just bought new ones (haven't installed yet). Checked several places, and they all have phoenolic pistons...

Master cylinder is my idea on the problem. Will have it checked out monday. Pressure not releasing from caliper, looks like the back brakes are doing the same but with less hold on the pads.
Petal feels strong with no fade. I can still turn the wheel when it is on the jack but will not spin without help.
Will the calipers fit off a 88 turbo coupe.? Just have one sitting around.

autozone, oreilly's, pep boys, advance. they carry both calipers. they ahve one listed that is the phenolic(whatever) and they have the steel one listed also.

there about 15 bucks with core charge. core charge is 10.00 each. so 25 bucks each.

When I bought mine, they all listed them as a phoenolic (plastic) piston...they had ones with steel pistons, but told me they were not the 73mm size used in the SVO's...I never check PEP boys though...I'll have to give them a shot.

Nothing like a good bleeding

Turns out the left side caliper was going bad and a good bleeding did the job. I would have said the right side was bad. All is good in the world now.

I bought mine from oreilly auto parts, but they had them listed at pepboys also. the calipers were the same size, but you have to bend the little metal spring clamp things on the pad out in order to make them fit snug with the steel piston, or else they will rattle around alot. but other than that they are the exact same caliper that is on the svo. except with steel pistons.
