  • Original SVO Red Koni's still being made ?

I as some of you know was intending to buy an SVO but when the chance to get a 84 GT Turbo Convertible came up I got it instead .what I was wondering is since my 84 has the Quad shock setup will the ones on the SVO be a direct fit ? also are they still being made or would I need to buy a used set and have them rebuilt ? I actually still plan to pick up an SVO in a couple of years due to the fact I still want one and I can not believe how reasonable they are selling for .but one project at a time for me or nothing gets done .

The SVO's have a diferent spindle so the Koni's won't fit on the GT. They are still made, they just don't have the ford part number like the originals.

If you are talking about the rear shocks, then yes they should fit a non-svo.. If you are talking about the fronts, then chalky is correct as they not fit a non-svo..

Yes I meant the rear ones . I know in order to use the front ones I would have to do a major overhaul .I think I can get a suitable set that will do for the front .one thing I was cosidering is replacing the springs to lower it slightly but after crawling under the car a few times and seeing some of the things that hang down that are Convertible specific , if I do lower it any I will have to be very careful with speed bumps .thanks for the help guy's

Be sure to support the vendors that support this site. You can find Koni shocks and dampners at Motion Dynamics.
