What Color?

Well I am repainting the front control arms, and spindles this week and I curious to what color to use. I am pretty sure the spindle were unpainted, so a steel color should work. But I don't know about the control arms themselves. I was thinking a chassis black but they may be unpainted from the factory though. Any input?

Chris Cade used a paint called "Gunmetal Gray" that looked really nice. Looked fairly close to a natural metal look

They were unpainted (natural) from the factory. If you're going for restoration/show car look - then Eastwood would have stuff you can use for them so they look good (for cheap) - longer - instead of just beadblasting them and waiting for the surface rust to re-appear over time.

OR - you could coat them with POR-15 - but a word of advice - dont get it on ya.

Ahh, thats what I thought both were unpainted from the factory. Well I have already done both control arms in chassis black(Martin Senour). It's a low gloss kinda thick black. So I guess I might just paint the spindle's black as well, it's not really a stock car anymore anyway.

I would paint the spindles with the Eastwoood Cast Iron paint. I like the way it looks when used in restoration projects.

It's not like someone can really see the spindles ... unless they're crawling under you car. If I see someone under mine like that I ask them to change the oil while they're down there.

No one can see your wet spot either.

This is true mine are rusted. Much faster that way. At least 5 HP, so I heard.

Actually, it looks very nice. Nice touch. I'll probably just paint my parts black, but I'm not looking to make a 100-pointer, yet.
