Well I am repainting the front control arms, and spindles this week and I curious to what color to use. I am pretty sure the spindle were unpainted, so a steel color should work. But I don't know about the control arms themselves. I was thinking a chassis black but they may be unpainted from the factory though. Any input?

They were unpainted (natural) from the factory. If you're going for restoration/show car look - then Eastwood would have stuff you can use for them so they look good (for cheap) - longer - instead of just beadblasting them and waiting for the surface rust to re-appear over time.
OR - you could coat them with POR-15 - but a word of advice - dont get it on ya.

No one can see your wet spot either.Originally posted by svobud View PostIt's not like someone can really see the spindles ... unless they're crawling under you car. If I see someone under mine like that I ask them to change the oil while they're down there.
This is true mine are rusted. Much faster that way. At least 5 HP, so I heard."Specializing in Brut Force and Ignorance."

And THAT caused the car to explode? Wow.Originally posted by Ken Potter View PostOn all the natural parts for the 7B they were hot tanked and then high temp clear coated.
Actually, it looks very nice. Nice touch. I'll probably just paint my parts black, but I'm not looking to make a 100-pointer, yet.

Where do you get the time. I'm going to buy you a car. That way I can have first dibs to buy it back after you get it all done.
