  • Bump steer after lowering

A question for those of you who have lowered their cars (primarily with the Eibach Pro or H&R sport springs, i.e. about 1" - 1 1/2" drop):

Have you noticed an increase in bump steer?
Has anyone measured the bump steer?
If yes to the above questions, what did you do about it, if anything?

In the "how do I make my SVO handle" post, the author mentions using 90+ tie rod ends. Mathis also suggests this in his book.

I will be installing a set of H&R springs in the near future, and am hoping someone else has done the leg work. In other words, I'm feeling too lazy to check it myself.

Before I switched to a coil over front springs, I was using the Eibach Race springs in my SVO. Although I haven't measured bumpsteer, I did notice quite a bit more. My solution was to use the FOOZ (1990) tie rod ends and Maximum Motorsport steering rack bushings and minimal toe in. There still is a bit of bumpsteer, but it's much better than before.
