      One thing I forgot to mention about my combo is that I am running taller than stock tires, so my 4.10's aren't really as tall as they would be with the stock wheels. I am running 245/45R17's, which are ~3% taller and would equate to roughly a 3.98 or so gear. Personally I don't see why you wouldn't be happy with the 3.55's based on your info and you should see some improvement over stock running on the highway. Let us know what you go with and what your impression ends up being. Good luck.

          My '84 has a 3.45, my next rear end has a 3.27 (not installed yet). I'm doing this because I want 1st more useful at the dragstrip and autox. When I watch most SVO's launch they next to instantly hit the rev limiter and then shift to 2nd.
