I was messing with my alternator wiring putting in the Forced4 wiring upgrade and ran into a bit of a problem with the alternator wire that runs to the starter relay.
The main wire off the alt runs to a big clump that has a couple of fuse links and a couple of other wires all tied up at one point. One of the fuse links separated at the rubber thing that says "fuse line" so I cut the rubber part off and soldered the two wires together. Then I just unbundled the whole clump, cut out all the junk, and solder them all together at that same point. So I'll now just have that clump of wires going to the starter relay and the Forced4 one going to the alternator and two new Forced4 wires going from the regulator to the alternator.
Question: Is it okay to solder that clump of wires and fuse links? What are the other wires that run off that one alternator wire? Is there a fuse of some sort in the Forced4 wire?
Thanks for any incite into this.
