ok i did a search nut couldnt find anything but anyway i did a TE to a PE swap in my 84 i was wondering what happens to the fuel select switch i have the correct injectors and a manual boost controller but what i want to know ia does the fuel switch controll more than just boost if so how do i get my car into the premium mode if it is not already

yes, the premimum switch controlls the timing maps. try running 87 octane on premimum, and you'll be detonating like crazy.

I hope you upgraded your injectors at the same time. Also if you haven't replaced your intake with a square one you probably need to disconnect the knock sensor. I won't work properly with that computer and an inline intake. You also need to swap out your boost controller. I don't think the PE will properly control the older one from the '84.

so my first post said that i do have the right injectors and a manual boost controller i do have the knock sensor disco. but i was wondering if my switch will make the computer change i know it wont work the bcs but will it still change the computer settings

yes. the premium fuel switch controls the ignitiion maps in both the pe and te computers.
