Hi guys, I purchased a new t3/t4 (.63A/R, stage III, 54trim, .50A/R compressor) a while back and I'm just now installing the turbo. While doing so, I ran into alittle problem. When I tried to bolt the actuator to the compressor, I noticed that it did not fit. The brace is too small. Is there an adapter or kit or someting out there that I can use to fix this problem?

Thanks.
Usually on the ones from Turbo Specialties the larger housing has one hole drilled and tapped and one or two holes epoxied closed. You can also cut the head off of a bolt screw the threaded part in with Loctite and fill the hole that way.
Hey that comment sounds familiar. I am in the process of bolting up a t3/t4 myself and ran into the same issue. I have heard of folks slotting two of the holes and bolting it up, but when I looked into that, there was no way that was going to work on mine.
I decided to get creative and came up with a solution that worked for me. I was able to reuse an existing bolt hole then pinned the other end of the bracket to the compressor housing. The pinned end is then clamped against the compressor housing with another bolt and a plate that I made up. If I had a welder I would have welded on an extension onto the pinned end of the bracket and drilled a hole to line up with the other compressor housing bolt. In any case I also had modify/bend my wastegate actuator arm to get it to line up properly with the flapper valve arm. Strangely enough it ended up being the proper length to offer the same amount of preload on the flapper valve as stock, so everything should work out. I will find out when I get everything bolted back together this weekend.
I did take some pics of the modified WG, so if you can give me a couple of days, I can get them posted up on the web. Let me know if you want to see them.
SVOno50, I pretty much did the exact same thing as you. One other thing, if you had the same problem as me then, you may run into another problem. The other problem I ran into was that the turbo and actuator did not bolt snuggly against the exhaust manifold. The actuator was in the way. I fixed this problem by cutting away some metal on the actuator brace. Just another experience. Good luck.
The clearance between the WG and manifold was a bit of a surprise to me, but luckily I test fitted the manifold and turbo together outside the car first. I cut the angle bend back about 1" from the end and folded it flat. This allowed the WG to rotate against the compressor housing enough to give adequate clearance. When I do post the pics I will let you guys know where to find them. Later.
I almost forgot about this one, it was from just a bit ago. Anyway, here are my follow up pics to my previous text. 3 pics total, the first is an overall shot of how the stock wastegate is bolted to the compressor housing on my T3/T4 hybrid.
Here is a closeup pic of how I used a roll pin and home-made clamp washer to hold down the other end of the wastegate mounting plate, since I didn't have a chance to weld on an extension piece.
And lastly, here is how I had to bend the wastegate actuator arm to properly line up to the flapper valve arm. What is funny is that once I bent the arm and mounted the wastegate on top of the stock compressor housing clamp I got the exact same amount of pre-load on the wastegate as the stock setup, ~1/8". So far it has worked fine, but I hope to step up to an external wastegate in the future. Later.
I had the same problem but , they sent me the wrong WG. I bought everything from Motion Dynamics. I called them about it and the company sent them a batch of WG's for a Grand National or something. I sent it back and they exchanged it .
