I assume this will lower the RPM in which the turbo kicks in and increase the HP (all good things) but would appreciate any input anyone has had here.

    Thanks
Yep, an E6 will flow a little better than an E3. That translates to less back pressure and boosting a bit sooner. To take best advantage of the increased flow it is helpful to have a 3" downpipe and cat.

      Removal of the Bolts

I've done some checking at local machine shops here in Los Angeles, one place was $60 each/$240 total using EDM (electronically) and another was $100 estimate for milling/driling/easyout. That combined with the cracked housing means maybe I should condiser a new turbo. Any suggestions?

Yes, PM Pat in LA. Since you are local, he may be able to help remove your broken bolts from the turbine housing, but it may cost you a couple six-packs of Guinness, Sierra Nevada Pale, or Fat Weasel Ale.

Sounds good: 2 is better than 4

I have 4 broken bolts and a cracked housing so that sounds very good. If you do USPS, they provide the box and normally the tape too for $8.50. send me a PM with your information so I can cut you a check. Lastly, thanks very much, I owe you.

            Regards,
            Bob

              Guinness

I guess I'll have to go to the refrigerator in the garage then! I went to Dublin last year for St. Paddy's day, saw Leprechauns riding Harley Davidsons in the parade and hadn't even had one Guinness yet.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give him a jingle.

                  Bolt Removal

I got in touch with Pat and, after picking up a few tips from him, began trying to drill the bolts out. So far so good, all four are in process and are centered. Will get time to finish over the weekend and maybe begin reassembly if all goes well.

No need for the generous offers of bo the housing and Pat's time at this point, let me see if I can figure this out, with a bit of help from the SVO friends!

                  Thanks Again

.....the advice was worthy of a trip to downtown LA, I'll stop by after I get it running...
