  • Raising fuel pressure and boost.

I was debating whether to get an adjustable fuel regulater to raise the pressure and possibly the boost.

Currently I run stock fuel pressure and about 18 pounds of boost. My car runs real strong. I want to get some more power from it, but I do not want to jeopardize anything happening to the car. The car has been very dependable with the current set up.

If I were to raise the fuel pressure, about how many pounds of boost can I run and will I being chancing the fact that something serious could go wrong?

    Thank you.

to tune it properly, you need to dyno the car, or at a minimum run a wide band AF ratio meter

just to clarify, a REAL wideband, not one of the 30-50 buck flashey light things that plug into the O2 sensor

You should be able to turn up your boost without changing the FPR. The doesn't the stock one raise pressure with boost?

Yes it should if the vacuum line is solid and the diaphram on the FPR isn't pooped.

I was able to run 17 lbs. with the stock fuel pressure. I could run 19/20 with the pressure bumped up and the VAM spring tightened.
