  • Mechnical Water Temp Guage

Was wondering if anyone is using Autometer's Mechanical Water Temp guage and how they have it hooked-up? I'm a little unsure on where the temp sensor goes. Thanks in advance!

Don't know why you want to put into a new guage in, but the sensor is located on the driver side rear of the engine block below the valve cover seem.

Watch though, the temp probe for the gauge right outta the box will not fit. The tapped hole in the block is bigget than the probe.

I am not sure what size id needed, but you will need a fitting that autometer has ( as well as any hardware store. )

The probe will screw into the fitting, and the fitting will go into the block.
