Hose questions

Ok I am planing on installing a boost control valve on my 85 SVO. Are the hoses that connect to it a special hose or can I replace it with any regular vacume hose? I have 2 weeks off the begining of April when I was planning on finishing my race car but since that is being traded for the 85 SVO I will be making a few changes which include all of the parts I have ready to put on. So be prepared for more beginer questions sorry I am going from a stroked Carbed NA 302 to a turbo 4 banger and efi.
