I already have a set of the speed pro .030 over pistons that I was going to run in my new engine with reconditioned stock rods. I have been considering getting crower rods, will the speedpro pistons mount on to the crowers? Probably a stupid question but i couldn't get a diffinitive answer.

Yes and no, So your saying I need to see what type of grooves the speedpro postons have right?Originally posted by MikeFlemingNote that pistons for floating pins need to have ring grooves to retain the pin while those for press-fit pins (into the rod) do not need the grooves.
A press-fit piston can contain the grooves, but a piston without the grooves cannot be used with a floating pin type of rod.
Make sense?

Bushed rods are meant for pistons with snap ring grooves.
Non bushed rods need to have wristpins pressed in when installing pistons. This involves more than just a press. A rod heater is used to open up the small hole for an easier press fit. Wristpins get chilled to shrink them, too. If your machine shop doesn't do this, find another shop to do your work.
Crower makes many different size and length rods for a Lima engine. They even sell 6 inch long Chevy size rods that some people have fit in a Lima block. Learn the exact specs on your part before ordering.
Meotchh's brother and dad (located in GA) keep a few popular Crower Rod sizes on the shelf for their 2.3 engine builds. You may wish to send him a PM with your needs. He got me a long set of 2.5 stroker rods (non stock pin height) within a week or two after I gave him the proper dimension info. The pricing was competitive.
