Oil Consumption??

I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me out. I am a new SVO owner (it is in the registry). The first thing I did was bring it into a Ford dealership to look it over. The dealership did a complete inspection and said the car runs great. I also had the oil changed. However, after driving the SVO about 1200 miles it was a quart low on oil. There are absolutely no leaks whatsoever and no blue smoke when I turn it on. Essentially, other than my car consuming a quart of oil after 1200 miles, my SVO runs perfectly. Is it normal for a SVO to consume a quart of oil after 1000 miles? Thank you in advance for your help!

5w30

I would use a 10w40 or 15w40. 5w30 is made for new engines not ours.

just trying to solve the guys problem, I use a 15-40 myself...
