  • Cruise Control?

I searched under "cruise control", but the thread that came up was from 2003. Is that still the consensus, cruise control was probably a dealer installed option? Thanks.

However, just about every 84 GT turbo I've seen has had it on there, and many TC's came with it too. There are a few of us here who do have it on our SVO's, and as long as the cam isn't too radical, works fine.
My wife says it's a sickness...what do you think?

      Cruise

While the reason for no factory cruise option on the SVO might not be clear, the ASC Capri used the same steering wheel as the SVO. The ASC Capri did document that crusie was not available with the standard (SVO) steering wheel. The ASC warned, you would not have the special stering wheel on cars ordered with cruise. It would seem no one wanted to make it work.

Thanks for the replies, I haven't had a chance to drive the car outside my neighborhood yet, so I'm not sure if the cc even works. It looks like a pretty clean install, I had no idea that it didn't belong there.

If your SVO has cruise it's the dealer installed kind. I recent;y picked an nos kit up for my 84 and i've seen a few
          SVO's with it also.

Similar to what Kevin said, certain Saleen's were'nt available with it either but I've seen a system jury-rigged on those as well.
