  • Oil sling problem!!!

Well I am having a problem with oil coming from the front on the engine and going everywhere I have replaced the cam seal 3 times the valve cover is a for gasket and looks to not be leaking. I just noticed that when I went to tighten the cam bolt it didn't want to get Amy tighter I do have silicon on the cam bolt. On my last cam seal it cam out dry with no oil on it so I think it the cam bolt any help would be great. Thanks. Will post pics later.

the cam bolt needs tape on it, to seal up.

Have you ever seen a cam bolt not tighten. I'm woundering if the cam threads are bad. What would be a good way to clean the cam bolt threads???

if the cam bolt won't tighten, you've got a pretty ugly problem...
unless the bolt just has no threads on it, Your threads in the cam are gone.

Also, all the grinding you're doing (the threds from the bolt, and threads in the cam) are now running through your oil.

I can't stand rain. I don't have a garage so I'm stuck working on The cars outside.

That damn cam bolt (really a screw, but I will leave it there) is always overlooked. Folks forget that our cam is pressurized with oil and the threads need sealant on them to prevent the oil stripe like you had.
