  • Issue concerning power in high boost.

I have an 86 with 112,000 miles, my mods are a volvo front mount, bov, cone filter, 255 fuel pump, adjustable regulator. I'm running stock boost. Everytime i get to the peak in boost around 13-15psi the car begins to cut out, and break up. It sort of jerks around a lot, and loses power. Anyone have any ideas what might cause that?

Ditch the BOV for BPV then put in new motorcraft tune up parts.

Just a tune up problem, and lack of air?

Whats your fuel pressure at 15? Check plugs/gap.

check the spring in the hose that runs between the VAM and turbo.
You should not be able to collapse that hose easily with your hand.

Under higher boost pressure, a weak ignition will breakdown and not be able to ignite the mixture.
