  • Late model TPS conversion

I'm putting on a SN95 Throttle Body and part of this will be using the SN95 TPS. I just got a Motorcraft wiring repair harness and will be splicing this into the factory plug into the engine harness.

Of course, the wiring repair plug is a black 3-wire. So, I need to determine which wire goes to which location.

Inside the SN95 TPS's terminals are labeled C-B-A (reading left -> right). Anyone know which wire goes to which terminal?

The car I picked up has a newer throttlebody with a nice pigtail harness mating the two
I will check it when I am at home (at work now) and let you know the wiring if no one has posted up

Found the answer...with a picture even. Thanks to TF.

      FYI: Orange = VREF (C), Green = TPS Signal (B), Black = SIGRTN (A)

        Finished product.

Since Ford Racing no longer offers M-9989-A1, I used Motorcraft part# WPT-445 that goes from the TPS and splices into the factory TPS harness.

I have a later ford TPS on my car (not from a SN95) and found that it isn't adjustable like the factory svo TPS. I can't get my TPS value lower then 1V when idling at 750 RPMs. I may oblong the holes in the TPS to make it adjustable.

Just something to think about if the SN95 TPS isn't adjustable.

On the last run of Throttle bodies I got from ford they came with an adaptor plate that allows you to use the stock 84-86 tps and still adjust the TPS. Unfortunalty there is fitment issues witht he stock TPS so You still have to use the 94-95tps.

Man this thread is a life saver, I have been nervous about making a TPS harness until I found this thread.
