  • 87/88 TC Block

Is there any real issue using an 87/88 tc block in the SVO? I've heard the oil pan configuration/holes may be slightly different but can't seem to confirm either way. I've also heard they may not be as strong as earlier blocks but again, can't seem to find any definitive info.

Mine currently has a 88 tbird block, one piece oil pan gasket. Still running... Original block sitting in the shop floor waiting for attention.. someday?

We dropped an '88 turbo coupe engine in an '88 LX, oil pan and all, and it fit without issue.
