I am not sure if my 85 SVO is supposed to act this way or not when I start it up cold or not. When I start it in the morning, it starts up and the idle immediately jumps up to about 2000 to 2100 RPM. It will hang out there for minutes and eventually slow down a little, but unless I tap the gas, it hangs high like that, then after tapping the gas, it drops back down to normal after about 20 seconds. It will stay like this till the engine is shut down and completely cooled off, then repeat.
Is this normal? Will this change any with the LA3 swap? I have heard it is supposed to smooth things out a bit. Thanks, -Phil
