I just noticed last night while I glanced at the throttle body from my 88TC engine (just sitting on my bench) that the TPS had a gasket. I am using my SVO throttle body on my engine right now. I do know, as a matter of fact that I did not have a TPS gasket on my 85 SVO engine when I changed the TPS awhile back from the one on my spare 88 TC engine. Should I put this gasket back on my SVO throttle body? Probably so I guess...

Na, it was for sure the TPS. I have seen this before on 5.0's. I was just wondering because my SVO one did not have a gasket when I replaced it. I guess if the throttle body shaft seal was leaking onn that side, it would prevent a vacuum leak. I don't know. Seems like the goal on any forced induction machine is for zero vacuum leaks, at least for street driven cars!! :-)Originally posted by THESVOTRUST View PostWith a glance did you confuse the IAC with TPS?
