  • BCS Connections Correct??

In a quest for knowledge and to figure out why my Octane Switch seems to work backwards I started looking at the connections to the BCS and turbo which do not seem to be the same as some photos I have seen in my search from NavySVO.

Below are photos of what is going on. Does this look correct or is it done screwy? Any ideas why the two nipples on either side of the turbo would be capped off?

I am still on the hunt for a set of Ford Service manuals that are not $109 but nothing currently on Ebay. So until then I have have to use y'all for all of my help.

Here is a link to the photos I was referring to from NavySVO. http://www.svoca.com/forum/showpost....51&postcount=3

Also looks like my boost control solenoid itself is different being made of black plastic instead of metal. Hmmmmmmmmm.

It looks to me like someone had a manual boost controller on your car at one time. The two blocked off would normally be running to the factory controller. Rotate the T closest to the passenger fender to were there is one nipple pointing towards the fender and one pointing down. Then get a hose and connect the nipple pointing down directly to the waste gate. Then take the nipple pointing towards the fender and connect it to the factory boost controller. The other nipple that is blocked off will also connect to the factory boost controller. The nipple closest to the passenger fender will connect to the top nipple on the controller and the nipple closest to the engine will connect to the bottom nipple on the controller. That should get you straight.

Much thanks. Looking further it looks like the hose running to the wastegate is already two pieces spliced together so I should be able to just swap it around to make the correct routing.

Does my controller look like it is factory?

            Success!

Got everything run as per original and car runs great and now the fuel switch works properly. It runs super smooth, even better than before in regular with 10psi boost and switch over to premium and getting around 15. Still have a tiny stumble in premium but its less than before and I am pretty sure some good fuel will fix that.

Sounds good. These cars are a blast when they run like they are supposed to.
