  • 94/95 Throttle Body adapter and Cold Air intake

I noticed that forced4 motorsports no longer exists. Does anyone else make cold air intakes and the throttle body adapter kit for the SVO?

I'm not sure anyone is making that kit right now, you might find one on ebay, but watch quality...
I can tell you, it's really simple to make your own. A lot of the 'kits' have 2 plates,
    one bolts to the intake
    one to the throttle body
and the 2 plates bolt together.

That's not the best idea, I think---

The plate I made was 1 plate, with studs that bolt to the throttle body on one side, and studs that bold to the intake coming through the other side.

It was very simple to make, and cost maybe 25 bucks.

the other item to mention is, generally, and the big reason I don't think you see a lot of this kit, there is little (if any) of horsepower or torque gains from this swap.
People talk about 'throttle response' gains, but I think that simply means you don't have to push the throttle as far to get more umph... which may or may not be a good thing.

Ok thanks. I don't have the mechanical ability to make an adapter plate.

OK, maybe someone will have one out there they will part with.

Wasn't there also an issue with the plate reducing the distance between the upper intake and the stock intercooler outlet?

yes, because the larger TB's tend to be shorter, BUT, you have to buy a new hose anyway, so a little longer hose between the TB and IC don't hurt a thing.
