Is it normal for a 2.3 to get "buzzy" above 3k? I know it is not a quad cam multi-balance shaft motor but geez. For long trips I would rather drive my LX.

Might want to check your turbo studs. When I'd get a buzzy noise, I'd find that it was due to an exhaust leak where the turbo meets the manifold (the metal gasket adds to the noise).64 Mercury Comet - 289ci

You do want to check these fairly often, and make sure you use the good turbo nuts on them.
