  • PE Timing Curve

Thinking about hitting the dyno at a speed shop hosting a mustang (or more specifically fox bodies) day, and its been 17 years since its been on the rollers. I can't remember what the total timing is with the stock PE computer at WOT, but I found on the internet (at turboford) a table at the highest load:

    RPM Timing
    1,000 16
    1,500 18
    2,000 20
    2,500 21
    3,000 22
    3,500 23
    4,000 23
    4,500 24
    5,000 24
    5,500 24
    6,000 24
    6,500 23

Can anyone confirm? 24^ seems like a lot, especially when I was running the distributor 3^ advanced for years. Thanks.

I can’t confirm the advance number, but I can confirm these numbers match another source. If you google Rothfam/svo/reference you’ll find a file comparing LA3 and PE spark.
