We replaced the fuel pump with a 255lph and the car runs good but noticed the smell of gas inside the car when driving it. It does not smell outside the car. Checked all the lines and looked for leaks and there are none. There is no smell near the engine, it's only inside the car when it's running. Has anyone noticed this with the high pressure fuel pumps? Any ideas what it could be?

Chck your fuel neck filler seal where it goes into the tank. For some strange reason a small leak here can result in a smell of fuel inside the car. Don't ask me how or why, but it does. Also check to be sure you don't have a leaky injector or injector o ring.
The o rings are new, we just replaced them and inspected them before installing to make sure there were no knicks or defects since the first set we bought had a chunk taken out of one of them. The injectors are all good as well. We did have a tough time getting the neck into the tank though so i'll check that out. It could very well be that since the smell is only in the rear of the car. Thanks for the help. Hopefully that's the problem. I've been waiting 10 years to drive this car again and now that it's done I don't want the fumes of gas to knock me out and I crash the car!! That's my luck!!! :p Thanks Doc
